About The Author
I have lived and worked in London for nearly ten years now and have spent a depressingly large percentage of those years travelling to and from work via public transport. During my time I have moved home and office a number of times which has allowed me to experience commuting using every form of public transport apart from trams. I would like to say this puts me in a unique position, but I suspect there are thousands, if not tens of thousands who have done exactly the same. The difference is I have a website and am being vocal about it. Despite using a wide gamut of transport options I should point out that my main modes of transport are bus and train. As a result they’ll get whinged about most.
While this site may give the impression that I am the complete antithesis of the model commuter the opposite is in fact true. I must admit that I often travel with a scowl on my face but I am not the angry, antisocial person this site makes me out to be. I just want to travel home in peace with no fuss and, despite the fact you’ve just bashed me over the head with your bag again, I would never act out the fantasy of beating you to death with my laptop that I am currently having.
I am, of course, going to upset many, many people with this site so you’ll forgive me for retaining some anonymity. There is, however, a little bit of me in everyone so just remember, the next person who smiles at you on the train may not be eying you up, they may well be fantasising about retribution for some commuting faux pas you committed.
Oh… I overuse commas. A lot. I also abuse the strong and emphasis tags and brutalise grammar. Deal with it.
