Season Direct

So I decided to do the sums on ticket types and work out just exactly how long the season direct website would have to be down before it was cheaper for me to get an annual ticket. This is an outlay of £3740 verses the £4092 a season direct ticket costs me. Odly enough a normal monthly ticket is even more expensive than the season direct so I’m not sure what’s going on there, perhaps a typo on the website. Regardless, I then went on to work out what the difference would be between paying for a return from Colchester to Cromer on a weekend would be, and what it would cost if I was just paying to come up Friday and using my season direct ticket to come back Sunday. I need to make 33 trips in a year to make it worth it, less if I use it to other places, or travel up to Cromer on a Saturday. Just to make sure I’d remembered the ticket price correctly I thought I’d have a poke round the website and see if the page where you get a quote for the season direct ticket was working and it turns out the entire site is back up and running so I’ll be ordering myself one of those when I get home tomorrow, just in time to get a ticket for November (told you the lead time on these was stupid). In the mean time I’ll have to get weeklies and monthlies from the ticket office.
