I’m back
After what will be 4 months and 15 days of being just another public transport user I am poised to rejoin the ranks of the commuterate and once again battle my way into London with the idiots, morons and prats that so often grace rush hour transport. New train times and new platforms but I’m willing to bet that the lunacy remains.
Already NXEA are doing their level best to annoy me. From memory it takes over a month to register on the Season Direct ticket website and get your first ticket. They’ve increased this lead time by breaking the website so all I know is that I can’t get my ticket for ‘The forseeable future’, plus the month and a bit. I’m thinking I may just get a gold card and be done with it. I’ll have to do some sums and work out how long the website will have to he down for before it’s cheaper to go the annual ticket route. God I hate commuting.

I’ll tell you this for free - it’s suddenly got a lot quieter on the early trains!! (Home of the financial services worker - you know, the ones with braces, stripy shirts and plain collars!)

It’ll get busier again, and we didn’t al wear stripy shirts with plain collars, that was ‘the business’, in IT we just wear jeans
Still, there are those of us in other sectors still battling our way in and thousands of people getting out of the habit of commuting every day getting under foot as they go for interviews.

If you think about it ‘we’ in IT didn’t wear jeans, I’ve just never thought they had a place in the office. funny thing is of course when push came to shove it mad no difference anyway.
Anyway, welcome back to the world of work even if you have gone off the deep end and into the darkness this time!

I wore jeans. They were black and from Gap so they didn’t look blatantly like jeans, but they were jeans nonetheless.
