Merry Christmas

It has to be said Christmas is my favourite commuting time of the year. Everyone is on holiday, the trains are empty, working hours are a little more flexible than the rest of the year so its no longer a slog to get into work. One might even go so far as to say the journey becomes almost enjoyable. On top of that [nearly] everyone is in a good mood so they’re less selfish and less likely to do something annoying or stupid. Plus since everyone is in a good mood their tolerance for mindless acts of stupidity is higher.

Bearing all that in mind one can only hope that this will be the last post of 2006 and that the commuterate and rail operators will give me what I want this Christmas: three quiet, idiot free, stress free, on time days of nice commuting.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you (yes, even the ones who annoy me).
